min. 99.50% iron powder, high-purity, 150–850 µm, P20–80, electrolytic, electrolytic iron powder

Product information "min. 99.50% iron powder, high-purity, 150–850 µm, P20–80, electrolytic, electrolytic iron powder"

During the electrolytic extraction, electric current is passed through an iron(II) or iron(III) salt solution. At the cathode, iron is deposited in the form of fine particles or solid layers. The high-purity iron is then collected,  dried, mechanically crushed, and classified. The process enables precise control over particle size and shape, which is crucial for many applications.
The high purity and exact particle size distribution of the electrolytically produced iron powder lead to increased reactivity:
  • Chemical Reactions: The large specific surface area of the powder promotes reactions with other chemicals. It often serves as a reducing agent in chemical processes, as it readily donates electrons.
  • Catalytic Properties: It can be used as a catalyst in various chemical reactions, especially in those involving the transformation of organic compounds.
Iron is a ferromagnetic material, and the electrolytically produced iron powder retains these properties:
  • High Saturation Magnetization: The purity of the powder leads to high saturation magnetization, which is important for applications requiring strong magnetic fields.
  • Low Coercivity: The small particle sizes result in low coercivity, making the material easy to magnetize and demagnetize.
Through the special manufacturing process, an extremely precise grain distribution is achieved. Dust content has been almost entirely removed.

Application Examples

  • Powder Metallurgy: Production of sintered parts with specific mechanical and magnetic properties.
  • Electronics: In the production of components requiring precise magnetic properties, such as sensors and actuators.
  • Chemical Industry: As a catalyst or reagent in syntheses and industrial processes.
  • Medical Technology: In certain diagnostic procedures.
  • Special Paints: Magnetic wall coatings

"Lamp Black", flame soot powder, industrial carbon black, Carbon Black, CAS No.: 1333-86-4
pack size: 1,0kg

Flame sootorCarbon Black / Carbon Black / Lamp Black is produced by burning hydrocarbons with reduced oxygen supply. The flame black powder we offer is typically nanoscale. Among other things, it is also suitable as an extremely opaque black pigment.  This is a prilled version. This means that significantly less dust is created during handling and the material is easier to dose andIn addition, the environmental impact is significantly reduced.Possible applications: Additive in polymers Conductive paints (ESD applications) Polymer-based energy storage Black pigment (e.g. toner) Flame retardant coatings and much more. Chemical/physical examination: Average particle size: 95nm (0.095µm) - based on primary particlesResidue on 45µm sieve: 4ppm Toluene extractable components (DIN 53553): 0.010% CAS No.: 1333-86-4 Variety: 101 Carbon min.: 99.9% Opacity (ISO 787/16 & 24): 26.0% (ITRB) Blackness (DIN 55979): 210 PH value: 7.5 Tamping density: 260 g/l Dibutyl phthalate absorption: 0.118 dm³/100g

Min. 99.9% Copper Powder, silver-coated, 32µm, non-stabilized, platelet-shaped
pack size: 50g

This copper powthe is conventionally produced in ball mills. Dazu wird zunächst ein Vorgranulat bzw. -grieß erzeugt, welches im Anschluss of den grinding media zu kleinen plättchenförmigen Partikeln verformt wird. After classification, this is followed by the wet-chemical deposition of pure silver auf the Partikeloberfläche an. So enthält this powthe 5 to 6 wt-%  elemental silver. With the genannten silverbeschichtung is this Material außerordentlich leitfähig and kann dawith weitestgehend in vielen applications reines silverpulver ersetzen. Während unbeschichtetes copper powder, trotz seiner intrinsischen guten electrical conductivity, im losen Zustand einen Widerstand gegen unendlich zeigt, leitet this AgCu-powthe den Strom auch im loosely poured state bereits. The Kernanwendung liegt im Bereich the Manufacturing process of elektrisch leitfähigen coatings, Halbleiter-Bauelementen and Medizintechnik.CAS No.: 7440-22-4 (silver), 7440-50-8 (copper)Typische chemisch and physical Spezifikationen:Sieve passage: min. 99,5 %D10: 15,0 µmD50: 34,0 µmD90: 57,7 µmsilver-content: 5,0 % Purity coppersubstrat: min. 99,9 %Signal word: WARNING!DangerenhinweiseH302 Harmful during VerschluckenH319 Causes serious eye irritationH410 Sehr toxic for aquatic organisms with long-lasting effectsPrecautionary statementsP264 Nach Gebrauch wash skin thoroughly.P273 release in the Umwelt avoid.P280 eye/face protection wear.P337+P313 In case of anhaltenthe Augenreizung: get medical advice/attention.P391 Spilled quantities aufnehmen.P501 contents / container einer anerkannten Abfallentsorgunganlage zuführen.

99.6% copper powder, copper powder, 45-LD, irregular, water-atomized
pack size: 500g

This copper powder is produced by water atomisation . This results in irregularly shaped primary particles with increased interlocking effect. However, this means that the powder is only suitable to a limited extent for AM processes. Compared to the air-atomised variant, which is also available from us, grade "LD" has an approximately 30% lower bulk density.Further typical fields of application:Antifouling coatingsFriction liningsSintered componentsPlastics engineering (as a filler)Soldering technologyCatalyst (chem.)Silver production (precipitation of silver in silver nitrate solution)Antibacterial / antiviral coatingsPaint coatings (so-called "piss paintings") -> WARNING: This powder is not suitable as a pigment.
