Ferrosilicon powder with a typical content of 54% iron and 45% silicon is a fine-grain iron-silicon alloy for metallurgical, materials engineering and industrial applications. The defined particle size of <200 µm enables uniform dosing, a large reactive surface and controlled introduction into melts, powder mixtures and industrial process systems.
Technical properties of FeSi powder
Ferrosilicon, often referred to as FeSi, belongs to the group of ferroalloys. The present powder combines the properties of the elements iron and silicon and is particularly suitable as a silicon carrier and as a metallurgical deoxidizer and alloying agent. The silicon content of around 45% enables the chemical composition and material properties of metallic melts to be specifically influenced.
