4.60µm carbonyl iron phosphide powder

Product information "4.60µm carbonyl iron phosphide powder"

This iron alloy, manufactured specifically for metallurgical applications, is characterized by a number of positive properties.
The "CEPP" (Carbonyl Iron Phosphide Powder) is particularly interesting for tasks that require high hardness and brittleness. Particularly noteworthy here is the embedding of diamonds in cutting tools.
But powder injection molding or the production of cermets can also benefit from this material.
The production is essentially carried out by the exothermic reaction of carbonyl iron powder and mostly red phosphorus with the exclusion of atmospheric oxygen and the use of a protective gas atmosphere. The resulting casting is then crushed and classified using conventional mechanical processes.
