Aluminum powder 70 µm, flake, stabilized

Product information "Aluminum powder 70 µm, flake, stabilized"

This aluminium powder is made in Germany. A previously produced aluminum spray grit is ground in ball mills with the help of fatty acids . Here the primary particles undergo a change in size, but more importantly a change in shape. The resulting particles are now platelet-shaped and act like tiny mirrors.
The powder is therefore an excellent metallic effect pigment for varnishes, paints or, more recently, screeds.

Preferred areas of application

  • Filler in polymer processing (2K systems, fillers, varnishes, paints)
  • Aerated concrete
  • Chemical reducing agent / gas generators
  • Pyrotechnics

Copper powder, 40 µm, flaky, red bronze, metallic pigment, stabilized
pack size: 250g

This copper powder has been specially manufactured for optical and functional applications and stands out due to its excellent brilliance. In plastic processing, it achieves outstanding effects in HDPE, LDPE, ABS, and even PVC. In this regard, special care should be taken during the production of masterbatches to ensure that the powder is exposed to only minimal shear forces and dwell times at high temperatures. Otherwise, both factors could negatively affect the final visual result. This powder is also perfectly suited for use in paints/coatings/2K resin and screen printing applications. A ratio of just 5/100 (pigment/binder) is sufficient to achieve a visually high-quality result. You will obtain an impressive copper-metallic effect – the surface will resemble a polished and reflective copper sheet. Please note during processing: Screen printing: The mesh size should be three times larger than the D90 value of the powder. Aerosol spray cans: The D90 value of the powder should be at least three times smaller than the nozzle diameter. Paints/coatings: Avoid mechanical stress caused by very high-speed stirrers. This would damage the particles and destroy the metallic effect. Brass powder "Antique Gold" bronze, 40 µm, flaky, metallic pigment, stabilized
Brass powder "Antique Gold" bronze, 40 µm, flaky, metallic pigment, stabilized
pack size: 250g

This brass powder has been specifically manufactured for optical and functional applications and stands out due to its outstanding brilliance. With a medium to coarse particle size, it provides good coverage. This is a special alloy consisting primarily of copper and a small proportion of zinc. The alloy composition and the thermal treatment applied during production give this powder a brownish metallic sheen: the so-called Antique Gold finish! In plastic processing, it achieves outstanding effects in HDPE, LDPE, ABS, and even PVC. Especially in this context, care should be taken during the production of masterbatches to ensure that the powder is exposed to only minimal shear forces and residence times at high temperatures. Otherwise, both factors could negatively affect the final visual result. This powder is also perfectly suited for use in paints/coatings/2K resin and screen-printing processes. Even a ratio of 5/100 (pigment/binder) is sufficient to achieve a visually high-quality result. You will obtain an impressive copper-metallic effect – the surface will subsequently resemble polished and reflective copper sheet metal. Please observe the following during processing: Screen printing: The mesh size should be three times larger than the D90 value of the powder. Aerosol spray cans: The D90 value of the powder should be at least three times smaller than the nozzle diameter. Paints/coatings: Avoid mechanical stress caused by very high-speed mixers. This would damage the particles and destroy the metallic effect. Typical chemical and physical specifications:Purity of base metals: 99.9% (copper), 99.95% (zinc)Color tone: Copper / Antique GoldLaser diffraction: D50 32 - 38 µm (typical)Bulk density: approx. 0.95 g/cm³Covering capacity: approx. 3200 cm³/gAcetone-soluble components: < 2.0%CAS No.: 7440-50-8 (Copper), 7440-66-6 (Zinc) Signal word: WARNING! Copper powder, 40 µm, "DUKATENGOLD", flake-shaped, metallic pigment, stabilized
Copper powder, 40 µm, "DUKATENGOLD", flake-shaped, metallic pigment, stabilized
pack size: 250g

This copper powder has been specifically developed for optical and functional applications and stands out due to its exceptional brilliance. With a medium to coarse particle size, it provides excellent coverage while exhibiting a reduced tendency to generate dust. Thanks to a special thermal treatment, this powder displays an intense orange-tinted copper-metallic color (known as "Ducat Gold"). In plastics processing, it produces outstanding effects in HDPE, LDPE, ABS, and even PVC. When manufacturing masterbatches, special care should be taken to expose the powder to the lowest possible shear forces and residence times at elevated temperatures. Both factors may otherwise negatively affect the final visual appearance. This powder is also ideally suited for use in paints, coatings, 2K resins, and screen-printing applications. A ratio of just 5/100 (pigment/binder) is sufficient to achieve a visually high-quality result. The result is an impressive copper-metallic effect – the finished surface resembles a sheet of polished, mirror-like copper metal. Please observe the following processing recommendations: Screen printing: The mesh size should be at least three times larger than the powder's D90 value. Aerosol spray cans: The powder's D90 value should be at least three times smaller than the nozzle diameter. Paints/coatings: Avoid mechanical stress caused by very high-speed mixers. This may damage the particles and destroy the metallic effect. Typical Chemical and Physical Specifications: Purity of base metal: 99.9% Shade: Copper / orange-tinted Laser diffraction: D50 32 - 38 µm Bulk density: approx. 0.95 g/cm³ Coverage: approx. 2500 cm³/g Acetone-soluble components: < 2.0% CAS No.: 7440-50-8 Signal Word: WARNING! Brass powder, 40 µm, "Reichgold", flaky, gold bronze metallic pigment, stabilized
pack size: 250g

This brass powder is specially manufactured for optical and functional applications. It is coated with 1.5 % oleic acid, which stabilizes it. In plastic processing, it delivers outstanding effects with HDPE, LDPE, ABS, or even PVC. When producing masterbatches, special care must be taken to minimize shear forces and exposure to high temperatures. Otherwise, both factors could negatively impact the final optical result. This powder is also ideal for use in paints, coatings, 2K resins, and screen printing. A pigment-to-binder ratio of 5/100 is sufficient for an optically high-quality finish.
